Minister for States and Frontiers Regions (Safron) Sardar Yar Muhammd Rind on Friday said the election of President General Pervez Musharraf as the president of the country either in uniform or without uniform was imperative for winning brighter future of Pakistan.
Negotiations with political parties were underway, he said while hoping that political parties would play their role keeping in view the supreme national interest. President Musharraf's election as the President was vital for the logical conclusion of mega development projects as well as the progress Pakistan had achieved over the last eight years, the minister said in a statement issued here.
Rind, who is also the senior vice president of Pakistan Muslim League, said the ruling party would again come out victorious in the next general elections as it had rendered countless services to the people in all four provinces.
Commenting on the arrival of the leadership of PML(N), the minister said it would service no purpose, saying "the thing that matters is to serve the masses and our objective is only to push forward the democratic process."
