The Sindh government has chalked out a plan to build Jinnah International Safari, which will help to minimise unemployment in Sindh.
This was stated by Rauf Siddiqui, Minister for culture, tourism and social works along with Abdul Qadir Mangi, Secretary culture, tourism and social works and Shams Jafrani, Director General Culture, while addressing a press conference here on Thursday.
He said that government had decided to build Jinnah International Safari, with an aim to provide better livelihood for the residents of Interior Sindh besides providing pollution free environment to them. Ministry has planned to make international safari at Shah Belo, Sukkar that will cover an area of 150 square kilometer.
He said that government would involve private sector and it would be given on 50 years of build on transfer (BoT) basis, he added. He appreciated Rabia Jawaria, former Director General tourism efforts by which this project had came under the limelight.
Earlier forces had cleared this area, which had become sanctuary of dacoits. He apprised that ministry had decided to promote tourism in Sindh and wanted to make our natural places more attractive for tourists. He said that diplomats from Middle East, included UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait and local industrialist had visited Shah Belo. He added. This project will be completed within two years and government will not tolerate any investor, if he found guilty in handling the project, he warned.
