In occupied Kashmir, students of Kashmir University Srinagar staged a protest demonstration against acts of Indian state-terrorism at the campus, which has disrupted the routine class work of the university.
Hundreds of students gathered at the premises of the campus and protested against thrashing of students by Indian police personnel the other day, which injured over a dozen students, KMS reported.
The students told that police personnel last night beat up the hostel boarders, who had organised an intellectual meeting to discuss various issues concerning the students. The police troops disrupted the function, abused the students and even broke the equipment, they said, adding the police personnel also entered classrooms and beat up the students.
They said the police personnel also misbehaved with the students, adding photojournalists who were present on occasion were also thrashed and their equipment snatched. Meanwhile, at Soura in Srinagar, a father of five kids Muhammad Ramzan Shah is missing since September 8, causing concern to his family about his whereabouts. The locals said that he had been picked by Indian troops.
