The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has appointed two senior sales tax officials at Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) for improving the e-filing system and remove bottlenecks in the Information Technology (IT) related projects.
The board on Thursday issued a notification to appoint Shafquat Muhmud, Collector, Enforcement, Karachi and Abdul Hameed Memon, Secretary FBR as project director and deputy project director PRAL, respectively.
It seemed that the PRAL itself does not have capacity to effectively deal with the tax-related IT projects despite hiring of experts from private sector on huge pay packages.
