The Consul General of the Saudi Arabian Kingdom H.E. Dr Hassan A. Attar, who is also the Dean of the Consular Corps in Karachi, is holding an Iftar-dinner on September 23 at a local hotel. The Iftar-dinner by the Saudi Consul General is expected to be attended by the elite in Karachi.
Incidentally, the National Day of Saudi Arabian officially is also on September 23 but the Saudi National Day reception has already been hosted by the Saudi Consul General Dr Hassan A. Attar on September 10 in Karachi.
The Saudi Ambassador in Islamabad also hosted the Saudi National Day reception in advance on September 11 which also coincided with the Death Anniversary on the Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and the anniversary of the 2001 11th September traumatic terror events in the USA.
It may be mentioned here that the Saudi Arabian National Day on September 23 was fixed by the Founder of the Kingdom His Majesty King Abdul Aziz Ibn Andul Rahman Al-Saud in the year 1932 by royal decree after completion of the unification of Saudi Arabia under his leadership and rule. Many newspapers in Pakistan are going to publish special supplements marking the National Day of the Saudi Arabian Kingdom on September 23, 2007.
