Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Dr Nasim Ashraf on Thursday said that notification of PCB Constitution is being issued by the Ministry of Sports on Friday and the Board Constitution will be effective from September 21.
He told reporters that Governing Body of the PCB would be consisted of 15 members. Under the Constitution, nomination of the PCB Chairman will be made by the President under the powers vested upon him being patron in chief of the Board while the Chief Financial Officer of PCB will be appointed by the PCB Chairman, Ashraf said.
Talking about success of Pakistan Cricket Team in Twenty/20 match against World Champion Australia, he said that the success against world champion has led to enhance morale and spirit of the players and they are giving more concentration to improve their performance.
"The PCB will give prizes to all players of cricket team, if they win the Twenty/20 World Cup," he added. To a question about stylish batsman Mohammad Yousaf, PCB Chairman said that Yousaf would meet him on September 22 and he would try to convince Yousaf not to sign agreement with the Indian Cricket League (ICL).
He hoped that Mohammad Yousaf would not play ICL and would be available in the forthcoming series against South Africa. He said Mohammad Yousaf is our hero and hopefully he would respect the sentiments of people of Pakistan by not playing for the ICL. To another query, he said that the PCB was wholeheartedly working to provide strong base for producing good cricketers.
