The Director General, Provincial Institute of Teacher Education (PITE) Sindh, Abdul Latif Siddiqui has said that Sindh Government has launched a scheme to provide cash awards to competent Primary/Junior/ Secondary School Teachers who possess mastery over teaching skills required by a teacher in classroom effectively with a view to improve the education system and its standard.
In his press release issued today, the D.G. PITE has said that monthly amount of Rs 2000/- would be awarded to PST, Rs 2500/- to JST and Rs 3000/- to HST after qualifying the competency test.
He said that the schedule of conducting competency tests would be announced shortly and added that those (teachers) who are willing to undertake this test should contact their concerned Executive District Officer (EDO), education office, and fill in the acceptance and application form, he advised. However, he made it clear that in case some one does not qualify the competency test, this will not affect his/her services or other benefits.-PR
