A religious gathering was organised under the auspices of Central Imam Hussain Council to mark the death anniversary of Umm-ul-Momeneen Hazrat Khatijatul Kubra (RA), wife of the holy Prophet Muhammad,(PBUH) here on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering federal Minister for Population Welfare Chaudhry Shabaz Hussain suggested that the Muslim world should launch a project for dissemination of the noble character of this pious lady. "She was a very wealthy lady but she spent all her wealth to help her great husband and Prophet of Islam to spread the message of Allah Almighty", he noted.
He paid rich tribute to Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra (RA), who devoted her life and wealth for the cause of Islam. Senator Dr Abdul Kaleque said that Muslim women must regard the life of Hazrat Khadijah as their role model.
More than a score of scholars, including President of Imam Hussain Council Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi, Dr Intisar Mehdi, Dr Sibtain Sherazi, and Naqvi addressing the gathering paid glorious tributes to Hazrat Khadija.
