Nazim Lahore Mian Amer Mahmood has said that 5-km-long Khayaban-e-Jinnah, a Rs 250 million project, would connect Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, Johar Town, with Raiwind Road. He expressed these views while talking to newsmen at the inaugural ceremony of Khayaban-e-Jinnah here on Wednesday.
Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was the chief guest on the occasion. The Lahore Nazim also said that the new road would ease the pressure of heavy traffic in the area. Khayaban-e-Jinnah would especially benefit people travelling to Sundar and Chunia industrial estates, he added.
