Sindh Chief Secretary Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi has directed the Food department and City District Government to ensure smooth supply of wheat flour to consumers at reasonable price. He directed that sale of wheat Atta at ex-mill rate of Rs 13.50 per kilogram should be ensured.
The Chief Secretary said mobile Atta stalls should also be made functional in all Towns of Karachi, especially in Korangi, Keamari, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gadap, Orangi, Saddar, Jamshed and Bin Qasim Towns to overcome their residents. Reviewing a report of action against hoarding and profiteering, the Chief Secretary called for taking punitive action against violators.
