Provincial returning officer for presidential election, Chief Justice Lahore High Court received 12 nomination papers here on Thursday, including nomination papers of President Pervaiz Musharraf.
Those who submitted their nomination papers other than President Musharraf include Dr Fazal-ur-Rehman Lahori, Moazam Iqbal Gill, Rana Naik Muhammad, MP Khan, Muhammad Ishfaq Chaudhry, Hafeez-ur-Rehman Rana, Zahid Iqbal, Nawaz Ambir Shahzad, Dr Zahoor Mehdi and Muhammad Shahbaz Khan. MP Khan had submitted two papers.
The proposer and seconder of President General Pervaiz Musharraf were members provincial assembly Naseem Kawanel and Gulshan Riaz Malik. Returning officer received the nomination papers from 8 am to 12 noon. While nomination papers of Pervaiz Musharraf were submitted right at 12 noon.
