The lineup of vessels waiting to load sugar in Brazilian ports rose to 41 ships from 39 last week, shipping agent Williams said Thursday. In a weekly report, it said 26 vessels were lined up in the southern port of Santos, off from 28 last week.
There were 6 vessels at Paranagua, up from 5 a week ago. The center-south, which accounts for 85 percent of national sugar cane output, is harvesting a record crop.
