The President, Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat will chair the PFF Congress meeting to be held on October 4, at FIFA Football House, Lahore. All members of the PFF, Congress Electoral College (PCEC) will attend the meeting informed the PFF Secretary, General Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi on Wednesday.
Further, he said that the 21 member PCEC board, a group of three representing each provinces of Punjab, NWFP, Sindh, Balochistan and one each from the Pakistan WAPDA, Pakistan Railways, Pakistan International Airlines, Pakistan Police, Higher Education Commission, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Football Referees Association. The members will elect the PFF Executive Committee for the term 2007-11.
Faisal Saleh Hayat had already been retained, as the PFF President unopposed in last March will head the executive committee for the next four years. Other offices in the Executive Committee to be contested are three vice presidents (one of whom shall be senior vice president), eight provincial members, three organisational members and two females belonging to the women wing.
This will be the first PFF election conducted as per the new constitution of the federation, adopted on 3 March 2007 at the same venue. The constitution has been amended and adopted on the advice of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
