The presidential election obviously mean the election of the Leader of a country where the democratic society has a chance to choose someone who seems to be the best person to lead a country. There was a time when almost every place of the world was just controlled by only those who were "Born royal" even if they were not a good ruler.
The phenomenon "democracy" has been a result of long struggles where we find "War of the People for the People". There comes the idea of a Nation and Democracy and everyone liked the idea of "A Government by people, for the people" and the election of presidents and other government officials came into existence after the birth of Nations.
There are some rules for each and every country to choose a president. For example, Pakistan, which is a Muslim country, considers someone who is a Muslim as a basic requirement. On the other side, the United States of America doesn't put any requirements for the prospective President to be a Muslim in religion.
Other than the religion's requirement, we also find other requirements that may restrict people from becoming a President. These restrictions might include educational level, Parliament membership, political exposure and others "to be" or "not-to-be" a President of that country.
As far as the right selection is concerned, people must think about the best choice that's good for the country itself and for its citizens as well. We, as Pakistanis, have been watching the political scenario that's been going around in Pakistan since many years now. We have the examples of those who replaced first people and promised to be the best and were in fact the worst ones. The Pakistani nation has also seen the elections where the worst ones were replaced by the best choices ever.
There must be freedom of speech to get the best option when it comes to political election. There have been very good changes recently where the newspapers, television channels, and other info resources were allowed to go across the limits that were "not-to-cross" limits beforehand.
There has been lots of political changes, Government strategic changes, country's infrastructure manipulations in recent years. Again, it needs someone with high caliber, great intellect, broad mind, political integrity, and creative thinking to build and lead a country.
As far as the current affairs are concerned, we just had a Supreme Court decision for the Pakistani Nation where only three candidates were chosen to be a possible Presidential candidate.
There has been lots of political controversy involved in Pakistani Society. Thanks to the Pakistani Media's current independence that the Pakistani Nation is able to watch what goes on behind the screens back in the Parliament, Supreme Court, and other Government territories.
Whether it be just Pakistan or any other country, there must be transparency and "right decision making" when it comes for the Presidential Elections to have a right leader and decision-maker for a country.
The Pakistani people must not give importance to which province their President belongs to or which province's language he actually speaks. They must think of the Best Leader and right planner to be a President of Pakistan. They have to be aware of the global outcomes of their wrong decisions. People must seek someone who is going to make the best strategies and policies for the years to come. Someone who can make the country and its people prosper politically, economically and globally.
