Due to traditional norms and conservative approaches create difficulties for women-entrepreneur to establish business in Pakistan.
This was stated by Mehtab Akbar Rashdi, Executive Director, Eye Television Network, while speaking in a book launching ceremony as chief guest. The book is biography of Ameena Saiyid, Managing Director, Oxford University Press, Pakistan with the name of "Warrior Princess in the Book Business," organised by 21st Century Business and Economics Club at local hotel here on Wednesday.
Mehtab further said that book author has proved herself as successful businesswoman with hardworking and determination, which would help to motivate young-blood, especially females to introduce their selves as professionals besides helping their families out from poverty-circle and stable them economically.
Rafiq Rangoonwala, Country Head of Cupola and KFC and chairman publication committee, Mandeep Sharma, Founder President of BusinessWomen Committee, India, Aftab Tapal, Chairman, Tapal Tea, Kathleen, Council General, Germany, Fariya Haroon, Group Head .GEO and Hemesh Danial, Publication Head, UK were present on the occasion.
They said that in this male dominant society, she had excelled in business and marketing with her tireless efforts to carve out a niche for her to become a legendary in Pakistan's publishing industry.
