Focal persons would be appointed in different departments of the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) to ensure implementation of City Council's resolutions and other decisions. After every two months a meeting of heads of the CDGK's vigilance committees, District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) Karachi and Executive District Officers (EDOs) would be arranged.
These decisions were taken in a meeting presided over by City Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil here at her office, said a press release issued on Friday. The objective behind holding a meeting after every two months was to create a better working relationship between the elected members and the city government officials for solving problems of the masses, it added.
Nasreen directed the DCO Karachi to make it binding on the EDOs to reply and address the questions sent by the City Council to them on immediate basis. Stressing the need to have a systematic planning for solving problems of the people, Nasrin asked the concerned officials to ensure their presence in the city council sessions. On the occasion, DCO Karachi asked heads of vigilance committees to send requisitions for the required equipment in their offices.-PR
