Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said that the PML and its allies were fully prepared to contest the next general elections in NWFP and expressed hope that this time they would win more seats in the province on the basis of their performance in the office.
Prime Minister was talking to federal minister Amir Muqam Federal Minister for Political Affairs who called on him at the PM's House here Saturday. The Prime Minister said that the PML and its allies had the strongest candidates for every constituency and a better manifesto to win the mandate of the people in the forthcoming general elections.
He expressed confidence that the PML and its coalition partners would be able to secure majority in the National Assembly as well as in the NWFP Assembly which would help continuation of an era of growth and prosperity.
Shaukat Aziz said that the people were appreciative of the unprecedented development achieved under the Khushal Pakistan Programme which had brought about marked improvement in the provision of basic necessities including provision of electricity, gas, clean drinking water, roads network and health facilities at their door steps.
