Five died and seven other injured when a passenger Jeep coming from Hajmir to Alantir fell into deep ravine near Chondakai area in Shangla district on Tuesday. Police said the incident occurred when tie-rod of Jeep No KTA-5572 broke while negotiating a sharp turn in the mountainous region.
As result, Hazrat Malik, Hayat, Waseetullah Khan, Zubair Ali residents of Hajmir Alantar and Toorlali resident of Sir Banda died on the spot and seven others injured.
The injured identified as Shahid Khan, Masood, Salahudddin, Bakht Zamin and Jan Babar. The local police and rescue workers rushed to site and started relief operation. The injured were moved to local hospital while the critical injured were shifted to Peshawar.
