hockey-1024LAHORE: Umair Sattar scored a brace in Pakistan's 4-2 win over Northern Territory in the last pool match of the Australian National Junior Championships in Hobart, Tasmania on Monday.

All the four goals came through field attempts, according to information made available to APP here.

Pakistan also topped the five team pool and by virtue of their splendid performance, they will figure in the playoffs featuring four sides (top two teams of each pool).

Umair from Farooqabad, district Sheikhupura, put up a lovely performance with a rousing display of skills showcasing his talent by adding two goals in green shirts fine success.

Pakistanis sprinted out of the blocks and went ahead in the second minute through Ghazanfar Ali.

The lead didn't last long as Harting availed a penalty corner in the 11th minute.

However, Pakistan was able to score two more goals in the 23rd and 33rd minutes courtesy Umair Sattar and the consistent scorer Ifraz respectively. Hence, Pak juniors led 3-1 at the half time.

It wasn't over as Nathan Hochman narrowed the lead with another Northern Territory penalty corner. In the 61st minute, Umair Sattar, with his second, sealed the match for Pakistan.
