Currency speculators increased their bets against the US dollar in the week to Tuesday to the highest of the year, data from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission showed on Friday. The value of the net short position in the US dollar among traders in the CMEIMM rose $32.54 billion in the week to November 6, up from $30.73 billion last week.
The aggregate US dollar position is derived from the net positions of International Monetary Market speculators in yen, euro, British pound, Swiss franc, Canadian and Australian dollars.
