The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has appointed Mahmood Alam as new member customs and Shahid Rahim Sheikh has been transferred as Chief Customs, North, Lahore. In this connection, a notification has been issued here on Tuesday.
Shahid Rahim Sheikh, a top official of customs and excise group, has been given new assignment to head North Region covering Model Customs Collectorate, Peshawar; Model Customs Collectorate, Rawalpindi; Model Customs Collectorate, Lahore; Model Customs Collectorate, Multan; Model Customs Collectorate, Sambrial, and Model Customs Collectorate, Faisalabad.
He would work as senior level operational head in the field so that day-to-day operational issues faced by the Collectorates. He has been given assignment to resolve taxpayers' issues expeditiously, enabling the Board to concentrate on policy development and formulation.
