The Punjab Food Department (PFD) on Saturday has closed three flourmills in Dera Ghazi Khan because of various allegations against them allowed seven others to function in different districts of Punjab. The Shaikh Brothers, Mushtaq and Imran Yousaf flourmills faced strong accusations including insufficient use of wheat quota.
Mills earlier closed because of their alleged involvement in underhand selling of wheat in the open market out of government granted quota were ordered to restart operating. These mills are the Lasani, Chenab, Hasmic and Ameer Alam in Rawalpindi, Manzoor and Shahdarah in Sheikhupura and Al-Rai mills in Lahore.
