The Karachi Port handled 143,016 tonnes cargo including 92,834 tonnes import, 50,182 tonnes export cargo and 4,148 containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. The cargo comprised of 133,812 tonnes dry cargo including 93,246 tonnes general cargo; 28,445 tonnes fertiliser; 2,626 tonnes rice; 9,495 tonnes cement and 9,204 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Fifteen ships namely OEL Trust, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, TS Nagoya, Kapitan Byankin, Hanjin Qingdao, Bunga Kenari, Iran Tabatabaei, Pacific Carrier, Chi Feng Kou, Sea Tank, Atarasia, Capetan Lefteris, Naftocement XI, St James Park and Chemroad Echo sailed out to sea during the report period.
Ten vessels viz Bunga Kenari, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Jitar Bhum, Ever Given, Ninos, C Galaxy, Ceni Antartieo, Zang Za Sait Chong, Chemroad Echo and Process are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Ninos, Jaipur and Jitar Bhum expected to sail on Monday, while another two vessels viz C Galaxy and Yang Hai are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Three vessels viz Grand Ruby, Lucky Arrow and Hanin due to arrive on Monday, while another four ships namely Emerald Park, Cape Negro, Hyundai Advance and Porcu Ranger are due to arrive on Thursday.
Three ships namely MT Gemini, CV MSC Rosa-M and CV MSC Finland sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. Two vessels viz CV Cap Akritas and MV Astra are expected to sail on Monday. MT Yanaseni is currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV MSC Rosa-M, CV Cap Akritas, CV MSC Dymphna, MV Leopard B, MV Astra, MT Gemini and MV Antonis are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, coal, rape seeds and edible oil respectively during the report period. Two vessels viz CV Mearsk Georgia and MT Yanaseni due to take berths at Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Monday.
Three ships namely CV Nedlloyd Oceania, MT Bunga Melati-5 and MT Pegasus-7 due to arrive on Tuesday, while another container vessel Eddy Stone is due to arrive on Wednesday.
