Thin business was seen on the grain market on Monday as most of the buyers were on the sidelines due to lack of interest, dealers said. On the cereal side, wheat old and new both type were lower by Rs 5 to Rs 1560-1575 in process of trading, other items were unmoved due to balanced demand and supply position, they said.
Mixed trend was seen on the rice sector, where irri-9 Sindh both types rose by Rs 100 at Rs 2800-2900. Sela Basmati, low type was sharply lower by Rs 200 to Rs 5200 and good type did not show any change at Rs 5500, they said. Sugar prices also drop by Rs 50 to Rs 2600-2800, they said.
