Renowned photographers from India and Pakistan displayed their stunning photos here on Friday to promote the cultural heritage of both countries. A collection of more than 70 photographs has been exhibited at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) with a variety of themes in eye catching colours.
The 3-day exhibition has been organised in collaboration with Photographic Society of Pakistan and Indian International Photographic Council. Federal Minister for Tourism and Youth Affairs, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif inaugurated the exhibition and appreciated the professional skills of both Pakistani and Indian photographers.
Terming the exhibition as a way of strengthening bilateral ties, he said that Pakistan and India have common cultural heritage with a variety of traditions.
To exchange the culture and tourism of both countries, Ministry of Tourism is organising an international convention in December this year, he added.
A series of photos by Sami-ur-Rahman depicts the images full of life in various titles including Vatican Staircase, Boat and Baradari and others while his most attractive item is titled as "Watch Out". Renowned Indian photographers included Vivek R Sinha, Aseen Sharma and Himanshu Tewari captured the traditional dances of India with images of landscapes, historical buildings, beauty of seasons and others.
