Pakistan Manpower Institute (PMI) organised a two-day seminar on "World Trade Organisation (WTO) Regime and its Implementation on Pakistan's Economy" here on Monday. The main objective was to upgrade the skills of the participants and expose them to the latest tools and techniques in the respective discipline.
Chief WTO Wing, Industries, Production and Special Initiatives Division, Aqdas Ali Kazmi was the chief guest on the occasion, while Director General PMI Mazhar Hussain and senior officials also attended the event.
The participants from federal, provincial government departments, and academic institutions are attending the seminar. PMI was established in 1975 as an attached department of the Ministry of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis to organise training courses on labour related issues for the officers and executives from public and private sector organisations.
