Eight killed in Afghan blasts

Two separate Taliban-type bomb blasts blew up vehicles in Afghanistan on Monday, killing four Afghan soldiers and four civilians, officials said. Afghan police said meanwhile that US soldiers had mistakenly shot dead a policeman late Saturday but the international forces here did not confirm the shooting.
One of the bombs was planted on a dusty road used by Italian military forces on the outskirts of the capital Kabul and tore apart a car, killing four Afghan civilians, security officials said.
