Pakistan Muslim League-N Multan district president Allah Nawaz Khan Durrani has said that parliamentary board of PML-N would name party candidates for the January 8 elections on Tuesday. PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif will chair the meeting at party's central secretariat.
Chairman PLM-N Raja Zafarul Haq, general secretary Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and senior party leaders will attend the meeting during which list of PML-N candidates for coming elections will be finalised.
In a press statement issued here on Monday, Durrani said PML-N and other parties of All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM) have already announced election boycott conditionally if the government fails to restore the November 3 judiciary.
He said that the party leadership could review its decision to boycott elections. He, however, said that final decision on the option would be made after Monday's meeting between Nawaz Sharif and PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto. He said that PML-N would withdraw its candidates if Sharif and Bhutto agreed on poll boycott, but if this didn't happen, then the party would consider contesting polls.
