As the election day is coming closer, the differences between country's two largest parties, the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), are also widening due to aggressive campaign of Chaudhris.
The NA-150 Multan has become as usual a battleground between the PPP and PML-Q candidates. PPP candidate ex-federal minister Alhaj Sikandar Hayat Bosan and Vice Chairman of PPP Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani. Former federal minister, is misusing the state machinery as his orders are being accepted with immediate effect, especially for the transfer and postings of police and district administration officials of Multan district."
PPP blames former federal minister for engineering pre-poll rigging. Malik Ahmed Hussain Dehar Provincial Vice President of PPP also pointed out how Bosan had allegedly committed rigging during the last general elections the record of which could be obtained from international observers and organisations.
"This time too he has started working on the same formula, first by appointing his favourite staff." He also pointed out the difference of 15,000 voters in each Provincial Assembly seat and 25,000 to 30,000 voter in National Assembly seats. He said that voters lists provided by election commission and polling scheme (polling station wise) has vast difference."
PPP gave in writing to the Chief Election Commissioner, Provincial Election Commissioner and Returning Officer that there was a vast difference in the voter lists and polling scheme but no response was received as yet.
