The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has provided 16 kanals of land to the Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (Tusdec) to set up two skill development centres (SDCs) in Bagh. A Tusdec spokesman said here on Tuesday that the AJK government and the Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) signed a memorandum of understanding.
These two centres being set up at a cost of Rs 50 million will train the youth in various trades including construction, hospitality and tourism. The Tusdec has already set up four skill development centres in the earthquake-hit North West Frontier Province districts of Battagram and Mansehra. The spokesman said that hundreds of youth had received training from the Battagram Skill Development Company. "Muzaffarabad will also have two centres very soon," he added.
