The Appellate Tribunals on Thursday issued notices to Deputy Attorney General, Advocate General Sindh and ECP on applications challenging rejection of nomination papers.
The other tribunal comprising Justice Nadeem Azhar Siddiqi and Justice Dr Rana Muhammad Shamim issued notices to Deputy Attorney General (DAG), Advocate General (AG) Sindh and ECP for December 10 on rejection of paper of Hasan Ali, contesting from PS-5 Ghotki. The papers of Hasan Ali were rejected on the objection of Ahmed Yar that he had a fake degree.
The same bench issued notices to DAG, AG Sindh and ECP for December 8 on rejection of papers of Syed Sarfaraz Hussain Shah, contesting from NA-211 and PS-21. The concerned returning officer had rejected papers of Shah on the grounds that his nomination papers were not completely filled.
Hearing two identical appeals by Nazir Ahmed Bughio and Hizbollah against the acceptance of papers of Merajuddin from constituency of NA-205 Larkana, the tribunal also issued notices for December 10. The tribunal comprising Justice Naveed A Khwaja and Justice Khalid Ali Z Qazi adjourned the hearing of plea of Shujaat A Shah who had raised objection on papers of Dr Fehmida Mirza contesting from NA-225 Badin.
