The Samsung Electronics has announced that it received a critical acclaim for the design superiority of its 27 electronics at the Good Design Award 2007. Its side-by-side refrigerator won the Good Design Award Best 15 (Golden Award).
Organised by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organisation (JIDPO), the Good Design Award is Japan's largest and most prestigious product design award instituted to mark its 50th anniversary last year.
Director Marketing Shahid Khan and Product Manager Baber Kazmi briefed "The side-by-side refrigerator, which won the Best 15 award for second straight year, is designed jointly by Samsung's in-house design team and the globally famous industrial designer Jasper Morrison, featuring a simple-but-elegant and user-friendly design."
Samsung also won the Good Design Awards for four household appliances, six mobile phones (including million-seller smartphone Blackjack), four printers (including Swan and Logan), and two LCD monitor models (including Mobius).-PR
