Generally, when all people either working or public servants in the provincial capital left for their ancestral villages for celebrating the festive occasion of Eid-ul-Azha with their families and relatives, but workers of printing press could not avail the opportunity this time to celebrate Eid with their families due to excessive work of election campaigning.
This time, the election season of printing press services has fallen during Eid holidays and their workers mostly belong to Punjab remained deprived to celebrate the festive occasion along with their families in their native towns.
Printing press shops get extreme orders for printing posters, pamphlets and leaflets as elections approach, because all candidates from across Balochistan come for printing their posters in the provincial capital.
Ali Akbar, working as machine man at a printing press while talking to this news agency said that this time, the press owner did not allow all workers to go on leave for Eid celebrations. The same case was observed almost with every worker of printing services as they also worked during Eid days.
Muhammad Khan, a printing press owner said that his work has got momentum after the Election Commission of Pakistan allotted election symbols to political parties and independent candidates.
He, however, expressed his dissatisfaction over work as compared with the past elections. But, he said this time election has come during the time when printing presses enjoy season of printing textbooks during the winter vacation. Various printing press owners while talking to this news agency said they observe the Code of Conduct while receiving orders for printing pamphlets of political parties, adding that they get immense orders of printing pamphlets as election is just due after a fortnight.
Meanwhile, painters also remained busy in writing banners and drawing giant portraits of candidates as they opened their shops on the second day of Eid. Election season is considered to be season of painters.
