Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders on Sunday said that assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto was a failure on the part of law-enforcement agencies and the Musharraf government remained unable to control terrorism in the country.
PML-N Central Finance Secretary Muhammad Pervaiz Malik said the killing of Benazir Bhutto is an outcome of a conspiracy. 'Every Pakistani was grieved over the Liaqatbagh incident and her assassination had revealed the fact about Musharraf's government. If the government could not provide security to the former prime minister of the country, how could an ordinary citizen remain safe', said Malik, while addressing a gathering. He held the government responsible for all the losses suffered by the general public and country's economy.
PML-N former MPAs Malik Muhammad Afzal Khokhar, Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Gujjar, Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Sajjad Hussain Chheena, Muhammad Nasir Iqbal Khan, Ejaz Sultan Bandesha, Ramzan Sadique Bhatti, Mian Zulfiqar Rathore and Hafiz Muneer said that murder of Benazir Bhutto is a conspiracy.
While addressing a party meeting, they said Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was also hanged for patronising the nuclear programme. They said extremism has been spreading at a rapid pace in Pakistan for the last few years and Pakistan was facing worst form of extremism at present.
