Former Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohammad signed the condolence book in the High Commission for Pakistan over the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto here on Tuesday. In his remarks he wrote, "My condolences for the family of Benazir Bhutto on the untimely death of their beloved wife and mother. May Allah rest her soul in peace."
Later, while talking informally with the officials, he said that he was shocked and saddened by her demise, however, he expressed the hope that Pakistan will soon recover from this national tragedy.
