Lahore High Court office has returned a contempt of court petition against President Pervez Musharraf, arguing the petition can not be filed under article 248 of the Constitution.
The petitioner has stated that the president had levelled allegation against Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and other judges of conspiring to topple his government. He said as the president committed contempt of court by levelling 'baseless' allegations against honourable chief justice so he should be tried for contempt of court.
