Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has announced that Expo Pakistan 2008 will be held at the Karachi Expo Centre as per scheduled on March 13-16, 2008 as foreign buyers still keen to visit the exhibition.
The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Chief Executive TDAP, Tariq Ikram here Wednesday. The meeting reviewed the progress made since July 2007 and took important decisions.
Ikram emphasised to use this important business forum for enhancing the confidence of the international community and to communicate to the world the commitment and focus of Pakistani nation to face any challenge for projecting business image of the country.
The meeting was informed that an extensive promotional campaign had been pursued since July 2007, involving Pakistani missions who are in touch with potential buyers/visitors from all over the world. It was quite encouraging that the buyers were still looking forward to visit Karachi for this fourth edition of Expo Pakistan.
The Chambers, other trade bodies and individual companies are being approached by TDAP to ensure larger participation so that a message is conveyed to the world that Pakistan is moving forward despite reverses in the recent past.
All six halls of Karachi Expo Center will showcase the mega event where over 500 companies will exhibit their export products which included all core and developmental sectors including auto and auto spare parts, fabrics and apparel, food and ingredients, gems and jewellery, home and decor, industrial goods, information technology, leather, service sector, sporting goods, surgical and pharma and textiles.
