Peace and clam back to Kurram Agency as curfew has been lifted in Parachinar, however, tight security blanket has been made for peaceful observance of Muharram beginning on Friday.
The Political Authorities while confirming lifting of curfew said Friday that peace and clam is prevailing in restive Parachinar, headquarters of Kurram Agency and adjoining areas as no untoward incident has been reported since the truce struck by the peace Jirga between the two warring groups on January 4.
A senior official of political authorities said that strict security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order, peace, tranquility and religious harmony in the agency especially during Muharram. The official said strict action would be taken against elements fanning sectarian hatred and involved in the distribution and publication of objectionable religious literature.
