A fire broke out in a shopping centre in Buffer Zone area on Sunday morning, an official of the Central Fire Brigade said. He stated that the fire affected a couple of carpet shops in the Erum Shopping Centre. As many as five fire tenders were rushed to extinguish the fire, it was further stated.
The official was of the opinion that the fire may be due to short-circuiting as the shops were shut.
