The All Pakistan Democratic Movement (APDM) has announced that it will fully initiate a campaign for boycotting the February 18 elections after Ashura and would convince the people not to cast their vote.
The opposition political parties included in the APDM would also hold camps in all the cities and towns of the country and would run the election boycott campaign. In this connection Jamaat-i-Islami, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Pukhtoonkhwa Milli Awamy Party and others have issued directives to the provincial and district organisations to start effective campaign after Ashura.
The people would be convinced that elections would be meaningless under the supervision of Pervez Musharraf and restoration of independent judiciary. Advertisement campaign against the fraud elections would also be started to create awareness among the people about the meaningless elections.
