A Lahore High Court full bench has issued notices for January 31 in an election petition against former provincial minister Saeed Akbar Nomani contesting the PP 49 election. Nomani's rival candidate, Ghazanfar Abbas, has questioned the former's BA degree being invalid.
The bench has also issued notices in another petition filed by Muhammad Afzal against Rashid Akbar Nomani contesting the NA 74 elections. Like Nomani, he too is facing allegations of a fake degree.
