The former prime minister and head of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Mian Nawaz Sharif here on Thursday called on US ambassador Anne W Paterson. The meeting was held at Frontier House, in which the matters of mutual interest discussed. Sources told APP that during the meeting, Sharif discussed upcoming elections with the Ambassador.
Sharif asked the US ambassador that polls should be monitored by independent observers to ensure transparency of the election process. PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was also present in the meeting.
