The Pakistan Chemists Retailers Association (PCRA) has announced that it will observe February 7 as "Demands Day" to press the provincial government to drop the Punjab Drugs Rules 2007 and accept other demands.
Association Chairman Ishaq Mayo said on Friday that the Drugs Rules 2007 violated the basic human rights because it contained several clauses pinching chemists' business. He also complained about a string of changes in the Rules making license renewal more cumbersome.
"If the license is suspended or cancelled only one right of appeal has been given," he added. He has urged the caretaker set-up to begin a dialogue with his association's representatives to find a solution.
