Pakistan Muslim League (Q) has begun to gain momentum in Sindh as Pakistan Peoples Party has restricted its election campaign to only such constituencies from where its candidates are contesting election for the National and provincial assemblies.
On Saturday, PML (Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain was in the city, and along with former Sindh chief minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, met a large number of PML (Q) supporters, many of whom were from stronghold of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). During his meeting with them Shujaat Hussain advised them to keep their visibility at such places from where other political parties had fielded their candidates. "There is no point considering from where PML (Q) has its candidate, the presence of PML (Q) is to made felt," he advised.
The PML (Q) chief also talked to the followers of PML (F) as well and showed his willingness to support them in the constituencies the PML (Q) had not nominated its candidate.
He said that his party would continue to be with its earlier coalition partners in the provinces and at the Federal level. He expressed the hope that PML (Q) would sweep the National and provincial election and form the next government.
Shujaat Hussain is reported to have said that some of its coalition partners would be able to have bigger share in the governments and there would be support to all the legislatures in the coalition.
He said that PPP had restricted itself to limited constituencies, which showed that the party had either lost support from its followers or they were disappointed with the recent political adjustments within the party.
