Lahore Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood has directed that road carpeting of LDA Avenue One, a government employees housing scheme, should start on February 15. He was addressing a meeting to review the development work at the LDA Avenue One here on Thursday.
LDA DG Arif Khan and other senior officials were also present in the meeting. The Nazim also directed the officials to pursue the litigation cases regarding plot allotment in LDA Avenue One and resolve the matter, so that development work could start as soon as possible at the housing scheme.
"To remove encroachments from the housing scheme, an office of concerned director estate management should be set up in the LDA Avenue One. Also pace of development work in the housing scheme should increase and it should be reviewed on fortnightly basis," he added.
According to him, for quick provision of utilities and other infrastructure in the housing scheme, an effective coordination should be developed between the concerned offices. It should be ensured that all the facilities are provided without wasting any time.
