Election Commission of Pakistan has terminated the election proceedings in NWFP Provincial Assembly constituency PF-92 Upper Dir-II. Secretary Election Commission, Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad said, the concerned Returning Officer has terminated proceedings due to death of Fareed Khan S/o Alam Din, a contesting candidate from this constituency.
A public notice has also been issued in terms of Section 18 of the Representation of the People Act, 1976. Secretary Election said fresh proceedings will commence after election Schedule for the said constituency is announced by the Election Commission, in due course of time and in due process of law.
The secretary further clarified that it shall not be necessary for the remaining contesting candidates to file fresh nomination papers or make further deposit under Section 13 of the Act, when election would be held in this constituency.
