Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Nisar A. Memon on Saturday paid glowing tributes to the services rendered by outgoing Pemra chairman Iftikhar Rashid. Chairing a meeting of media chiefs here, the minister said that Iftikhar Rashid very successfully facilitated and regulated the electronic media during the most difficult times.
"He worked day and night and made the people realise that the rule of law is imperative for a disciplined society and rights and responsibilities go side by side," he said. Iftikhar Rashid expressed his gratitude for co-operation of the ministry during his tenure as Pemra Chairman.
