People complain of missing names in vote lists

The Elections 2008 showed drawbacks in Islamabad as absence of voters names and addresses from the voters list and double registration.
Most of the voters of G-6, G-7, G-8, G-9 and G-10 who visited the polling stations to cast their votes faced lot of trouble as their names and their house numbers were absent from the voters' list and polling staff was helpless for the flaws in voters' list.
Election staff said "we have to face embarrassment when people come from far-off places to cast vote and we are unable to find their names in the voters list".
In the morning turn out was comparatively low. However in the afternoon it increased. Many did not come out of their homes as they were scared of suicide bombing and terrorist activities. Some persons commented that they have no faith in the politicians who only make false promises during electioneering and kick them after they get elected. Voters doubted "if the elected government can give a respectable job and fulfil basic necessities like food, shelter and medical facilities definitely no.
Voters turn out picked up pace after 3 pm in the areas of Golra, Bara Kahu, I-9 and I-10 and in rural Islamabad as compared to the Islamabad city where most of the people remained in their homes. May voters complained local transport was not available in Islamabad and political parties' vehicles were not sufficient to take them to the polling stations.
