All Parties Democratic Movement leader Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said that the APDM would support the new government if it fulfilled its promises about restoration of deposed judges and resignation of President Pervez Musharraf.
In his telephonic address to JI workers on Saturday, he warned that the APDM would continue its struggle for the resignation of Musharraf, independence of judges and reinstatement of all dissident judges including Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry if the new elected members of the parliament did not honour their promises.
"The masses gave mandate to the victorious parties for restoration of judges, judiciary, resignation of Musharraf and ending of price hike, poverty and employment "he said. He said it is now a golden chance for the newly MPs to respect the public mandate and form national government and not try to complete the US agenda.
"The people gave mandate for the supremacy of parliament, restoration of 1973 constitution, removal of new Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO), reinstatement of deposed judges and independence of the judiciary" he said.
The JI Amir pointed out that the APDM had boycotted February 18 general elections owing to its public meeting and warned that they would continue their movement if newly elected MPs did not respect the public mandate.
