The first meeting of the Pak-India committee on prisoners will be held here on Tuesday to discuss issues relating to the release of civilian prisoners of both countries in each other's jails.
Pakistani Chapter of the Committee consisting former judges includes former Justice, Abdul Qadir Chaudhry, former Justice, Mian Ajmal and former Justice, Nasir Zahid will arrive here on Monday to meet their Indian counterparts.
During the meeting of Foreign Ministers of both the countries, held in January last year in Islamabad, it was decided to constitute a committee on prisoners comprising former judges to visit jails of the two countries and propose steps to ensure humane treatment and expeditious release of prisoners.
